Job Search Skills Workshops

Four key elements of a job search include doing what you can to accelerate your job search, writing résumés, finding job leads, and preparing for interviews. You can get training on each of these topics by joining one of the workshops below. Each session lasts one hour and is run by an employment professional. Please note that these sessions are not available on any major U.S. holidays.

This workshop teaches strategies that will help you take control of and speed up your job search. You will also learn about additional resources that will help you succeed in finding employment.

This workshop explores the latest tips and strategies for creating a powerful résumé. You will learn how to match your skills and experiences with the needs of employers in a way that will help your résumé stand out and get noticed.

Where do you go to find job leads and how do you stand out? In this workshop, you will learn tips for navigating the application process and strategies for finding "hidden" opportunities through networking.

Preparing for Interviews
What are the most common interview questions, and how can you answer them in a way that will give you an edge over the competition? This workshop teaches you how to create power statements and explores other tips and strategies for how to have a successful job interview.
